Heckfield Place as a Country Haven

A Gentle Relaxation of COVID MEASURES

Along with the whole country, we are looking forward to the return of some sort of normality with the relaxation of Covid restrictions from 19th July 2021. The space around the House and grounds has long offered the chance to reconnect with yourselves and nature, however, as Covid continues to challenge and lob curveballs at us all, we have taken the collective decision to keep considered measures to ensure the safety of our guests and teams during these tricky times.

Our teams will continue to wear face masks inside. While we appreciate it is completely your choice, we would prefer you to kindly do the same until 16th August. It may be a little longer until we can share our smiles without masks, but we promise it will be worth the wait.

    • Our temperature scanner will remain in the Hall in case you would like to measure your temperature on arrival. Our teams will continue to monitor theirs on arrival into the building.

    • Our beautiful fragrant Wildsmith hand sanitiser will be dotted around the House for guests and teams to use as needed.

    • Valet parking will resume for those who would like it. Please come to the front door, where your luggage will be unloaded and our Porter drivers will take your vehicle to safely park in the Woodland car park. For those who wish to keep their cars in a safe space, we will assist with luggage from and to there.

    • Completing the Covid NHS app will be optional.

    • Our arrival and departure times will remain at 4.00 pm for your check-in with check out at 11.00 am. This will allow our Housekeeping team time to ensure that your room has been fully sanitised. You are welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy the grounds, have lunch and make yourself at home in our beautiful House; we will do our very best to get the room to you earlier, but please bear with us.

    • We will contact you in advance to reserve a time for your arrival to avoid any crowds in the Hall, and encourage you to reserve your dining, spa and activities while you are here to avoid disappointment at these busy times.

    • We will continue to sanitise all guest rooms with Ramsol ( Once fully cleaned and sanitised, your bedroom door will be sealed to await your arrival.

    • If you would prefer your room remain a haven, we can agree to no Housekeeping service during your stay, only leaving items requested at your door. Or just once a day by our protected Housekeeping team working diligently to ensure the safety of all.

We will continue to encourage guests to dine outdoors on our lovely terraces and around the grounds.  We will remove any restrictions on maximum table numbers to normal levels.

    • The Spa will continue with all treatments with practitioners following Covid measures such as sanitizing and wearing PPE.

    • The Gym in the Keepers Cottage will remain open, although pre-booking is required to use the gym and for Personal Training. Outdoor exercising is encouraged wherever possible.

    • We will Increase the total number of guests in the spacious, well-ventilated Screening Room to a maximum of 50. There will be no requirement to wear masks while watching the movie.

    • Assembly events will return to our always-gentle size of talks, walks, demos and hands-on classes and workshops – in the outdoors as much as possible.
