November 6 2025 - A Year in the Life of Candover Brook
Join us in the Screening Room for an evening with Candover Brook Vineyard, exploring what it means to work with the land, not against it, through film and conversation.
To celebrate the launch of Candover Brook: A Year in the Life of an English Vineyard, we are delighted to host a special screening followed by a discussion with Mark Sainsbury, Samuel Philpott, and Craig Livingstone.
The evening begins with welcome drinks featuring Candover Brook’s own English sparkling wine before the film takes us through the seasons of the vineyard. Directed by documentary filmmaker Jess Bassett, the film is a powerful and reflective portrait of the team’s work, their land, and their belief in regenerative viticulture.
After the screening, join Mark, Samuel, and Craig as they discuss their work and philosophy: from soil health to sustainability, from craft to climate resilience, and the human stories that shape a vineyard with purpose.
Founded by brothers Mark and Julian Sainsbury in the Hampshire countryside, Candover Brook began with a simple idea: that exceptional sparkling wine could grow from land cared for with patience and respect. Today, under the stewardship of Vineyard Manager Samuel Philpott and Director of Farming Craig Livingstone, Candover Brook continues that vision through regenerative farming and thoughtful winemaking that honours both nature and craft.
