JOIN US FOR A CELEBRATION OF TREES, REGENERATION AND THE QUIET PLEASURE OF LIFE LIVED CLOSE TO THE LAND WHEN WE WELCOME SAPLING SPIRITS TO HECKFIELD PLACE ON FRIDAY 4 AND SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER.
Sapling's gin and vodka have long found a home with us. We both believe in the power of regenerative farming and living in harmony with nature. Trees are another shared theme. Our Arboretum, seeded by William Wildsmith in the 1860s, stands at the heart of Heckfield; Sapling plants a tree for every bottle sold - reaching one million by next year.
Now Heckfield Place and Sapling Spirits are coming together on the weekend of 4-5th September to explore our woodlands, discover natural habitats and enjoy seasonal food drawn straight from our Market Garden – as well as Sapling cocktails.
The Arboretum and wider Estate will be the backdrop for experiences including a foraged cocktail masterclass, supper served in the Market Garden glasshouse and a tree planting. Each one will be built around the estate's rhythms of season and soil so it's going to be a special weekend.

Gather in our private dining room, with views across the Arboretum, for a seasonal dinner plus conversation with our head arborist Dom Turner, Estate forager Stuart Ovenden and Sapling founder Ivo Devereux.
SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER: HOME FARM PRODUCE SALE
Browse at Heckfield’s Home Farm for fresh produce and plants from our Market Garden and farm – as well as a Sapling gin and vodka tasting.

Explore our Arboretum to learn about Heckfield's collection of historic trees. Learn about what we're doing to continue the legacy and visit our biodynamic tree nursery.
