SUMMER SOLSTICE WORKSHOP: Here comes the sun - create cyanotypes
To celebrate the Summer Solstice, join us for a summer's day hands-on workshop exploring cyanotype photography + al fresco tea and cake in the verdant gardens of Heckfield Place.
Workshop attendees will be guided by Joanne Kernan, a cyanotype artist and designer, in using flower cuttings from the surrounding gardens to create stunning vintage-looking cyanotype photogram prints - all centred around the high noon of the sun.
Straight out of our natural landscape - from ferns and flowers among other foraged materials - learn about the history of this wonderful Victorian process as well as how to prepare paper for printing at home. You will then create 4 - 5 unique deep blue, elegant floral prints using the power of the sun. At the end of the workshop you will have the time to continue on your own prints as well as enjoying tea and cake in the beautiful surroundings. (Please advise on all dietaries.)
If you would like to book a table for dinner after the event (subject to availability), please email firstname.lastname@example.org
