Laura Brand's creative workshop + lunch
An illustrator, author of the Joy Journal and mum of two, Laura Brand teaches a creative workshop on pounded botanical patterns for adults.
Create beautiful patterns using seasonal flowers, leaves and petals with this joyful and cathartic activity, which includes a picnic and a copy of her book. Leave with a piece of unique artwork or a set of handmade botanical notecards (and a new found love of flower pounding!)
She shares her crafty experiments and creative ideas for everyday play on her platform The Joy Journal and has led workshops for children and adults at Fearne Cotton's Happy Place Festival, Port Eliot and others.
Laura lives in the countryside with her husband, their two daughters, two dogs, cat and chickens. Home is a place of muddy boots, abundant jars of play dough and hand-painted 'welcome' banners above the doors. With chaos and calm in equal measure, Laura aspires to guide her children in the joy of play as well as mindfulness.
Laura has found that having her own creative outlet, as well as facilitating a space for the creativity of her girls, has been a welcome tonic.
All abilities welcome.

LEVEL: MODERATE FIT
Bound by the rhythm of the seasons, our restaurants are fuelled by the biodynamic Market Garden and organic Home Farm. From gluts to unloved bits like beetroot tops, we hope not to waste an ounce of produce.
This set menu – echoing our Culinary Director Skye Gyngell’s ground-breaking Scratch menu at Spring in London – features elegantly simple, delicious food using ingredients that otherwise might have been overlooked.
Being inspired by what we have to hand means we cannot alter the menu on the day.
